I asked myself the same question. I currently have about 50 clarkii clownfish and before I started the next batch I called around to the local pet stores. I found 3 stores that are interested, two will give me 4 to 5 dollars, the third 10-12 dollars a fish. They were the pet stores locally owned. All chain stores, petsmart etc, only accept clowns from their distributor and thatfishplace mentioned they don't pay for fish, but would take them off my hands. I have 3 more stores to try. I'm not sure how many they would take at a time, but hope they would want more after they sell them.
I was also going to post in the local sales paper to see if I could sell them directly for probable the same amount. There's also a tank raised section on the reefcentral forum and I thought about maybe posting there to see if I could trade for some frags/snails etc... with local reefers.
If I luck out with another large batch, I might hold off for awhile to take care of the one's I have until I lucky enough to start selling them, and then start the process over again. I don't want to end up with to many clowns that I have to start buying bigger tanks.
