hello
after witnessing strange clownfish behaviour i looked it up on this site to discover that it was the seizure stage of spawning they have been going this for around 6 weeks and recently subsided as i was worried about the female killing the male sh is around 2.5" and the male about 2" is there anything i can do to induce spawning or anything i should not do as i used to have freshwater angelfish lay eggs and this was done by dropping the temperature??
many thanks t rose

Old post, and I'm sure you figured this out already ;) Mine took almost 5 months after this behavior started. Don't do a thing except take good care of them. Varied and nutritious diet, keep the lighting on a regular cycle, etc. I feed mine mysid, squid, clams, a little beef heart now and then, flounder, and the usual complement of flakes and dried krill. They don't get "meat" every day, but probably four times a week, and I try to mix it up for them. Sometimes, I'll set aside a shrimp or scallop for them.

I keep my heater at 77, but in the winter I put it up to 78. Also, I go from a 12-hour light cycle to 11-1/2 hours in the winter. I try to make it as "natural" as I can.
Regards,
