I am just getting started and I am really glad I found your web site and forum. I am really eager, but I have some questions....

What type of light do you use to grow Rotifers ??? and also for Brine shrimp ??? Thank you

A light is not needed for either. With the rotifers, it does help to have light on them and it will increase the numbers. A small 15 watt aquarium light is more than enough. Sometimes I just leave mine near a semi shaded window. But that is not the best idea because if you have too much light you can get an algae bloom. I would get a small lamp for the rotifers. Welcome to the Forum and keep us updated. ;)

Thank you Admin for your answer to my lighting question. My Rotifer culture arrive Wednesday, and I'm going to practice growing them before my clown fish spawn. I'm hoping they start feeling romantic Saturday....it's a full moon !!

The longer you can have a rotifer culture going before your clownfish start laying eggs, the better. I always recommend having multiple cultures going at once. Each time you change the water in the rotifer tank, you should start another culture with some of the active rotifers. A crash can happen and you should be ready for it. Also clownfish eat a huge amount of rotifers at first and your numbers will dwindle quickly. See the main site for more instructions. Happy breeding.
