can anyone help me out, i have started my photoplankton in a 2liter bottle just like everyone else; i have done the research. i got the plankton from aqua farms and the micro grow. when first started it was going great just like i had read up, after a week it turned clear.... what happened????? please help....
Need more info. Are you giving the plankton enough light? What kind of water did you use to make the culture. Could the water have gotten contaminated? Does the bottle have enough aeration?
im using a regular light from a freshwater tank, a 2 litter soda bottle, and i have an air pump with an airline running inside the bottle just like the website says to do.
It could be that the plankton are getting to hot, too cold, or the light is not correct. I would use a standard florescent bulb like you would use in your house. Make sure the lights are not touching the bottles. Let us know if you got it fixed.
