You need to leave the flower pot with the eggs for the parents to tend to for as long as possible. Only when it is time for them to hatch should you try to move the flower pot. When you see the silver eyes on the eggs move it to another tank without exposing the eggs to the air. Do this by filling a bag with water and underwater putting the pot into the bag and moving to another tank. Don't let the eggs hit the air. As far as aerating the eggs in the separate tank, you will have to experiment. You don't want the eggs to be hit a bunch by the air bubbles. Just get the air near to it so that it creates a slight current. Make sure the water conditions in the other tank are exactly the same ie. temp., ph, salinity. Hope this helps.

thanks for ur quick reply

i remove the flowerpot on hatch nite at lights out. and i never expose the eggs to air.

when i put the air stone near the eggs i find that i have to use a lot of bubbles in order to get the eggs waving back and forth . it seems pretty strong im scared it could damage the fry
so i put the air stone directly under the eggs and use little current . the air bubbles touch the eggs

is that damaging the eggs? joyce wilkerson said that it is ok for the bubbles to hit the eggs.

Hi i found the best way is to syphon 2 gallon of water out uf your brood tank put it in your brt then if your plant pot as an hole in it stick one finger in the hole and lift the plant pot full of water so your eggs are covered with water all the time. Then i stand the plant pot on its base in the brt and just put an air stone blowing up past the eggs. But very gentle air presure :)
