Once most of the eggs get their silver eyes , Mine hatch at about day 7 or even 8 , any earlier and you will have more losses ! but I usually take out the eggs the day of the hatch . does no matter what time of the day .I pick afternoon so I have time to get things ready ,Lights and getting the rock back in the main tank !

Not sure about white eggs. :? Silver eyes are good use a flashlight to see them reflect. You could just turn everything off on day 7 and wait 45 mins see if they hatch and collect them with a cup to put in the fry tank. Keep the tank dark use a flashlight they will come to the light, then you scope them up. It does take awhile. That is how I do it. If they don't hatch that night repeat the above the next night. Good luck! :)

Make sure that you have flow over thwe eggs while in the rearing tank ,with an airstone , no flow over the eggs will turn them white quickly !
