Female Clownfish Twitching back

Postby Merman » Thu Mar 05, 2009 8:04 am

Hi everyone
This is my fist post and Its great to see a specific forum on breeding.

I have a question regarding my clowns which I have had for a couple of years. They has paired up and I have a larger female and a smaller male. The male is constantly twitching at her in submission. Sometimes the female will face him head on with a look of shear aggresion in for eyes, well thats what it looks like anyway. The male will face her and twitch for his life, but then she will twitch her body at him, not in the same way though, more of a warning twitch.

Has anyone else experienced this? is it normal.

Thanks for your help in advance

wow 78 views and nobody can do a little research on this?

By using the search engine "google" aka "googling"

I discovered that "twitching" is a way that they establish dominance. :D

how are your pair by the way?
