Hello, I am very new and forgive me if this is already been answered but I was looking and I could not find an answer... I have recently acquired a "bonded pair" of clowns, but the reason for this is post is that the female is a Ocellaris clown (false Percula) and the male is a True Percula. the LFS I got them from said that he has had no luck in getting them to lay eggs so therefore he was selling them. The two fish are beautiful and the female is bigger than any other clown fish I have seen at any other LFS so I am happy with the purchase even if they do not breed, but I have been very interested in whether or not I have a chance of getting them to breed because they are not both the "kind" (one being a false percula and the other a true perc.). I have looked all over for answers and I am seeing that the answer is 50/50... some sources say they should be able to breed while others say its impossible because they are not the same species. Does anyone know of a similar situation or has anyone bred false and true percs?

I just would like more information if anyone has any to share.. thanks.
