final follow up to this post

I had one clown remaining about 1.5" in size left and decided to put it in the 75 gallon. He's been in there for a week and seems to be doing very well, found his spot in the rocks.

I sold enough from the other batches to cover the hatching cost, which was the plan to begin with.

I figured for Christmas I'll treat myself to rotifer / photoplankton cultures and start again. I ran into a snag selling the clown because of lack of demand for the clarkii, so the plan would be try and limit the number of fry collected.

Hi! Sorry about your injury :( . Hope you are all better now.
Maybe I should send you a 2 of my baby clowns so you can breed them they are in good demand. I have sold all of the fry as soon as they are big enough.
I did have a few months I killed all of my fry just not enough time. I now have 2 over 1 inch clowns ( the ones I called Spot 1 and Spot 2)I also have about 6 that will be ready in 2-3 months. I just sold 10 last week. I also have a 3 week old batch of about 8 -10 my heater did not work for this batch (they are still living without a heater) I also have a batch I hatch last week of any where from 30 or more just too hard to count the little things. I need to start the last batch on b. shrimp. I hate to have to buy a new heat here so close to Christmas. Not to mention my R/O unit needs all new filters I believe that will cost around $100. I wish I had clowns ready to pay for that. It has spoiled me to just being able to go to the fish store and get what I need and a few extras that I just want by trading with my clowns and not having to spend my money. Just buying water for now. I've been spending my extra money on getting my hot tub working and a new pageant dress for my daughter. Oh! and a new horse. :)
