hey guys,
im plumbing a 55 gallon into my 200g system with a basement sump and im looking to dedicate this tank soley to clown fish breeding would it be possible to do this without having to remove the fry or parents?. aesthetics do not matter would be willing to just have one large piece of LR and an anemone would any of these aspirations be possible?

A 55 would be great for a grow out system, but I would not be comfortable using it as a fry tank. It would take a ton of rotifers for the fry to be able to find them in a 55. Also the filter / return to your main system would most likely remove the rotifers (and possibly the fry). The 55 would be great for the parents to live / spawn in though. Keep us posted.

Yeah i agree Ive been thinking of plumbing in a couple tens with a valve on the returns and just drill the tanks on the side to act as an overflow. that way i could easily do multiple water changes to all my fry tanks but not actually have a flow going through them
