You will have a tough time keeping the fry alive with Phtoplex. It will foul the water quickly and the fry really only want to eat live food. Some people in the forum have gotten a couple fry to live, but it is difficult. Check ebay for rotifers, they are much cheaper than other places.

Total rookie with clownfish eggs....I am unable to find rotifers and also too late for that...still want to try and save them. I've bought Phytoplex and was wondering if this will sustain the fry if they hatch. Thank you.

Try googling rotifer eggs. You should be able to get them mailed to Canada no problem. They take a lot longer to get going than an established culture.

I live in Calgary Canada, I would like to purchase live saltwater rotifiers. I know that you can buy in the USA. Is there any place in Canada that I can buy so I don't have to pay for brokerage?

Thank you

I would say to do a 10%-15% water change each week if possible. The newborn clownfish are very sensitve changes in salinity, temperature, and pH so be careful that the new water is similar to the tank water. Good luck to you. Keep us posted on how things go in the forums http://www.breedclownfish.com/forum

To Whom It May Concern -- Our clownfish laid eggs about five days ago and, following your very helpful guide, I am trying to make sure they stay alive when they hatch. My only question right now is how often do I change the hatch tank water once the fish are born? Thank you very much for your advice.

My fry are about 9 days old and i have only been feeding them rotifers. y rotifers are not multiplying fast enough and it seems like the number of rotifers i have are depleting but my clowns won't eat the brine, what other alternatives do i have? or am i just spoiling them with just rotifers?
